USA: United Airlines flight catches fire during takeoff at Houston Airport, panicked passengers evacuated
A United Airlines flight, which was travelling from Houston to New York, was evacuated after catching fire during takeoff on Sunday, media reports said.
The incident came to light in a week when two other aviation mishaps occurred in the country.
In a footage that has gone viral on the internet, people could be heard screaming and panicking after seeing the flight caught fire.
Flames burst out of one of the aeroplane’s wings as the aircraft began to roll forward for take off, reported New York Post.

United Airlines Flight 1382, an Airbus A320, aborted its takeoff from the George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) in Houston, Texas, due to a “reported engine issue” just after 8:30 a.m., the FAA said in a statement as quoted by the newspaper.

Passengers fled to the runway and were taken by the terminal by bus, the FAA said.
At the time of the incident, 104 passengers and five crew members were present in the plane.
Houston Fire Fighters helped the airlines' authorities to bring the flames under control.
"HFD’s Airport Rescue Firefighters are assisting at @iah after a departing plane reported an issue on the runway. HFD assisted in deboarding the plane. No injuries have been reported at this time," Houston Fire Department posted on X.

The FAA is currently investigating the case.
USA shocked by two aviation horrors
A plane crashed close to a mall in Philadelphia on Friday which left at least seven people dead.
All the passengers in the plane and one person on the ground died in the mishap, media reports said.
Nineteen others were injured in the crash.
In another incident, at least 67 people died after an American Airlines plane collided with a US Army Black Hawk helicopter near Reagan National Airport in Washington DC on Wednesday.
