NIA detains 2 accused from West Bengal in Rameshwaram cafe blast case

Bengaluru/IBNS: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has detained two accused from West Bengal in connection with the blast that took place at Rameshwaram Cafe in Bengaluru, media reports said. 


The suspects are Abdul Mateen Taha and Musavir Hussain Sazib. The NIA has identified Taha as the mastermind and Sazib as the key accused.

The NIA last month arrested Chikkamagaluru resident Muzammil Shareef, who had reportedly supplied logistics to the main accused.

Nine people were injured in a bomb explosion that rocked a popular Rameshwaram Cafe in Bengaluru's Kundalahalli on March 1.

The blast was caught on CCTV. The police are trying to find out those responsible behind the IED explosion at The Rameshwaram Cafe.

The police have filed an FIR under the anti-terror law Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and Explosive Substances Act.
