New Delhi/IBNS:  Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri recently launched the book "Inside the Terrifying World of Jaish-e-Mohammad" authored by Dr. Abhinav Pandya, CEO and Founder of Usanas Foundation, providing an insight into the operations of one of the most lethal terror groups in South Asia.

Published by HarperCollins, the book launch was organised by Usanas Foundation in New Delhi.

During the keynote address,  Puri commended Dr. Pandya for his dedicated efforts in producing this book, acknowledging the extensive and arduous research and interviews conducted within the relevant field.

The minister emphasized the scholarly nature of the work and expressed a desire for its widespread dissemination.

Jaish -e-Mohammad, the youngest Deobandi terrorist group, is special in many ways. Having brought India and Pakistan twice on the verge of a full fledged war, Jaish continues to be one of the most lethal terror groups in South Asia.

Its expertise in high impact spectacular fidayeen attacks gets its terror attacks an international limelight.

Jaish has robust ties with international terror groups like Al Qaeda. Al Qaeda provided seed funding to Jaish. Osama bin Laden negotiated the distribution of assets when Jaish split from its parent entity.

"Jaish has a pan India vision. With a deeply networked Deobandi support system it can be a great security challenge for India in an increasingly polarized social milieu," said Dr. Abhinav Pandya.

Furthermore, he emphasized the obstruction of India's endeavours to designate specific individuals and groups as terrorist organizations by nations driven by ulterior motives and their own political agendas.

He stressed the exploitation of democratic freedoms by terror groups for funding and support, urging for heightened vigilance to counteract such abuse.
