Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma after addressing a poll rally in Banamalipur area of Agartala said that they tried to save the jobs retrenched 10, 323 teachers and also said that BJP will again get absolute majority in the assembly polls.

After the rally reacting over the poll assurance of the Left Front on Friday, which has assured reinstatement of all retrenched teachers, Sarma asked if the LF will give jobs to teachers by fighting with the Supreme Court. ‘When the apex court of the country said that these jobs are illegal, then you should give a plan how they will be regularized,’ said Sarma and added that BJP government will follow the procedure for reinstatement of their jobs.

He said that 10, 323 teachers lost their jobs due to CPI(M) government and they were not lost their jobs during BJP government. Sarma said they are continuing their endavour to return back their jobs, but they way CPI(M) has given their jobs, the Supreme Court are not allowing despite endavour of the state government. He alleged that CPI(M) has destroyed the lives of thousands of teachers.

He reiterated they are ready for talks over development of indigenous people, but will not allow for bifurcation of state and will not accept it.

“Only one Tripura Sundari Mata, like one Kamakhya Mata, you cannot divide them,” said Sarma and added that the environment in Tripura is in favour of BJP and people are very much enthusiastic to form BJP government in Tripura again.

He also poked over seat adjustment police of Congress and CPI(M)  and said that Sudip Roy Barman was earlier in BJP and in the period of last assembly elections, CPI(M) leader Jitendra Chowdhury was almost ready to join BJP and they does not have any issue over their alliance.

Sarma added that the indigenous people of the state have legitimate rights for their socio-cultural, linguistic development, but no way with bifurcation of state.
