CEO, Tripura relieved from charges of other departments

The state government through a minor reshuffle order has relieved the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Tripura Kiran Gitte from the charges of other departments.

The state government through a minor reshuffle order has relieved the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Tripura Kiran Gitte from the charges of other departments.

The General Administration (personnel and training) department of the state through a notification said that incumbent CEO, Kiran Gitte, who is holding the charges of secretary for Election, PWD including DWS and Urban Development department is relieved from the charges of Public Works including DWS and Urban department.

As per the standard protocol of the Election Commission of India (ECI), the CEO of the state is only to assign with the charges of Election department as the ensuing assembly elections of the state to be held in the mid part of February, 2023 next.

The General Administration has also given the additional charges of Public Works including DWS and Urban Development departments to incumbent secretary Abhishek Singh (IAS), who is holding the charges as secretary of Co-operation Education (SW and SE) and Labour departments and relieved from the charge of Co-operation department.

The incumbent secretary Tapas Roy (IAS) of OBC Welfare, Minorities Welfare and Home (jail) departments will also hold the charge of Co-operation department in addition.

The government in another notification has appointed five officers to the post of TCS Grade-II officers against promotion quota from the feeder posts and they are Jiban Kumar Acharjee, Gaya Debbarma, Asish Kumar Sarkar, Pritam Kumar Debbarma and Debendra Sarkar.
