Congress MLA Sudip Roy Barman claims people are confused over demand of Tipra-Motha

Opposition Congress’s senior leader and MLA Sudip Roy Barman on Friday claimed that they along with the entire people of Tripura are still confused over the demand of regional Tipra-Motha party.

After returned back from Kolkata, the Congress legislature speaking with media persons at his official residence on Friday have also strongly condemned viral video of ruling BJP MLA Jadab Lal Debnath, who was allegedly watching porn in his mobile during assembly session and demanded immediate resignation of accused MLA, who has violated the sanctity of the assembly.

“Not only all political parties, the people of the state are still confused as before elections they demanded fro ‘Greater Tipraland’ union territory and then constitutional solution, but the TTAADC are already functioning under the 6th Scheduled of the Constitution, which has given by the late Indira Gandhi,”, said Sudip and added  that the supremo of Tipra-Motha should specifically inform the people of the state over their demand.

Earlier, they said that everything has been finalized, then why the question for appointment of an interlocutor, everybody is confused, said Sudip.

While reacting over the voting of Assembly Speaker, in which all Motha MLAs had skipped, Sudip urged all Motha leaders and said that ‘don’t play with the hands of BJP leaders and don’t allow the BJP to smash the party.

“History knows BJP has galloped all regional and smaller parties, but I don’t know what is the destiny of Motha, but want to alert all Motha friends that they should be very alert and don’t become a fool with the hands of BJP,” said Roy Barman.

He also said that Motha has received a good mandate from the people of Tripura and as the principal opposition party they should think of their role in the state politics.

Meanwhile, Sudip castigating the act of BJP MLA Jadab Lal Debnath inside the assembly, claimed that BJP leaders always speaks for morality and asked whether is their morality now and passing of passing so many days there are no action against the accused MLA , who had tarnish images of the state and all MLAs of the state assembly.

“Being a MLA of Tripura I feel very ashamed and insulted that Debnath destroyed the sanctity of the assembly.

It is a disgraceful and shameful event for all legislators, Debnath should immediately be sacked by the assembly to protect the sanctity of the state assembly, said Sudip.

He also claimed that Debnath was earlier sacked by CPI(M) for corrupt practices in a local body and such a person should not be allowed to sit again in the assembly.
