Govt schemes should reach every family: Biplab

The former Chief Minister and Rajya Sabha MP Biplab Kumar Deb as part of his public contact programme on Wednesday visited the Hrishipara area of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) Ward Number-34 under Pratapgarh assembly constituency and met the local people.

The former Chief Minister and Rajya Sabha MP Biplab Kumar Deb as part of his public contact programme on Wednesday visited the Hrishipara area of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) Ward Number-34 under Pratapgarh assembly constituency and met the local people.

While interacting with media persons during his visit Deb said the present government has taken many development programmes and it must be ensured that the benefits should reach up to the last man in the line. He visited various areas and discussed with the local people and also participated in an interaction programme with the elder citizens of the area organised by the SC Morcha of BJP. Former Speaker of the state assembly and local MLA Rebati Mohon Das, Deputy Mayor of AMC Monika Das Datta, state president of SC Morcha Tutan Das were also present during his door to door programme.

Deb added under the leadership of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the central and state governments are taking many welfare schemes and these must be implemented to ensure the benefit to common people of the state. He said the government has initiated a welfare program that touches each and every citizen. These like health insurance, drinking water, LPG connection, housing etc. The biggest thing is that each and all citizens are now seeing the hope of leading a respectable life.

A large number of people turned up to see the former Chief Minister and freely talked to him.
