In a devastating fire incident held at Hathkatha Bazar under Khowai district on Monday morning, five shops and two houses completely gutted into ashes, which had broke out from a computer shop.

In a devastating fire incident held at Hathkatha Bazar under Khowai district on Monday morning, five shops and two houses completely gutted into ashes, which had broke out from a computer shop.

After the fire incident, immediately, firefighters rushed to the spot and in association with local people, they somehow managed to douse the engulf.

Firefighter sources said that fire erupted in the five shops from an electric short-circuit and engulf started from a computer shop near Bir Chandra HS School in Hathkatha Bazar and within minutes, the fire spread into four more shops.

At the back side of these shops house of one Ajoy Deb and house of another person were also completely gutted into ashes. Seeing the high flames of fire, another firefighting engine has also rushed to the spot and they managed to douse the fire.

Sources added that the properties amounting in lakhs have also been destroyed in the fire incident.
