No alliance without written assurance on 'Greater Tipraland', Pradyot Kishore

After a rousing welcome in Agartala airport and a large motorbike rally in different thoroughfares of Agartala, Tipra-Motha chairman Pradyot Kishore Debbarma, who has arrived in the state capital  after one month for his illness said that Motha will not forge any electoral alliance with any political party before assembly elections until a written assurance on 'greater Tipraland' is given to his  party.

Speaking with media persons at Agartala airport, Pradyot Kishore said that the 13 lakh indigenous people of the state have reposed their faith in him and he has to ensure the rights of  his people. “For capturing power or for any lucrative position we will not spoil our dreams and rights,”, said Pradyot and added that if Prime Minister or Rahul Gandhi or Sitaram Yechury give assurance in writing for their ‘greater Tipraland’, then his party will forge alliance with them before assembly elections else the warriors of Tipra-Motha have enough strength to fight alone in the coming polls and will also ensure the defeat of all.

Meanwhile, after the mega bike rally in Agartala, Pradyot Kishore addressed a large gathering of Tipra Women Federation (TWF) at syndicate ground in Khumulwng and said that  his enemies  thought that he is not well and because the Motha will not go for long run. He added that he will fight for the ‘Thansa’ (unity) of all indigenous people .

He said leaders and political parties had offered him  money, CM post and MP post, but he doesn't know how many years he will remain alive. He doesn't want money and power, but needs the blessing of all of his people.

Hinting ruling BJP Pradyot said that they are fighting for power and money, but he is fighting for the next generation and to ensure the good future of the 13 lakh indigenous population of the state.

Debbarma said, "sometimes I receive threats of sending me to jail but will not bow down to any pressure. I will not mind if we face defeat because this is the last fight and our Thansa will return back to the Delhi people and party in Delhi again.”

He also alleged that during the past 70 years ‘Tiprasa’ were deprived by different political parties to get their legitimate rights, but now time has come for the last fight to get justice and rights under the constitution of India.

Castigating the ruling party, Pradyot said that the government run by BJP was depriving the ADC people and added that ONGC funds had been utilized for Sonu Nigam concert not for the welfare of tribal people.

He alleged that the BJP has done nothing for the tribal people over the past five year but has given a series of false and fake promises. He also alleged that BJP’s attempt to win election with the help of motor bike borne mafia elements, but this time they  will not be allowed to succeed.

He also hoped that in coming days IPFT and Tipra-Motha will together strengthen the ‘Thansa’ for great cause and reiterated that till the  written assurance for the greater Tipraland and constitutional solution to the problems facing the Tiprasa , Tipra Motha will not hold any talks for alliance.

He also appealed to the ‘Tiprasa’ to remain calm and be united for the next one month to achieve the dream of ‘greater Tipraland’.
