Three Parliamentary teams of Left, Congress coming Friday to visit violence affected areas

The Parliamentary teams comprising MPs of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha from Left parties and Congress are coming in the state on Friday for their two days state visit, specially they will visit post-poll violence affected areas and will interact with victim families.

Sources said that first Parliamentary team comprising of  two CPI leaders including P R Nataran MP (LS), Vinay Viswam MP(RS) and Congress MP (LS) Gaurav Gogoi will arrive in the state capital on Friday afternoon  and soon after arrival in the city, team accompanied by CPI(M) state secretary and MLA Jitendra Chaudhury, Congress MLA Gopal Roy, two CPI(M) MLAs Sudip Sarkar and Nayan Sarkar along with senior CPI(M) leader Pabitra Kar  will visit Durgabari, Gandhigrham, Usha Bazar, Kalikapur and will  meet post-poll violence affected families of opposition parties.

On the second day on Saturday, the first parliamentary team went to Mekhli Para, West Champamura, Jirania, East Aralia, West Pratapgarh and will interact with victim families. The team is scheduled to visit the Chhatra Yuba Bhavan and Melarmath area in Agartala to meet some victims.

The second parliamentary team comprising of CPI(M) MP(RS) Bikash Ranjan Bhattacharjee, AA Rahim , MP(LS) of CPI(M) and Congress MP(LS) Ranjita Ranjan accompanied by CPI(M) MLAs Shayamal Chakraborty, Samsul Haque, former MLAs Ratan Bhowmik, Ratan Das, Ashish Kumar Sha, Pranab Debbarma and secretary of AICC, Szarita Laitphlang  will arrive on Friday afternoon  and during their two days state visit will visit violence affected areas of Mohanpur assembly constituency, Nandan Nagar, Abhoynagar areas under 6-Agartala assembly seat. On day two (Saturday), the team-B will visit Boxanagar, Kalam chaoura, Sonamura, Melaghar, Charilam, Bishalgarh and interact with affected families.

The team-C of parliamentary team comprising with one CPI(M) MP(RS) Elaram Karim and Congress MP(LS) Abdul Khalique accompanied by Pradesh Congress president and MLA Birajit Sinha, AICC in-charge for Tripura Dr Ajoy Kumar, former MP Jharna Das Baidya, former MLA Bhanulal Saha and CPI(M) MLA Ramu Das will visit violence affected areas of Badharghat assembly constituency

On the day second (Saturday) , this team will visit the violence affected areas under Bishalgarh assembly constituency and with victim families as well as the local media.

All the three parliamentary teams will leave the state on Saturday evening and they will raise the issues of post-poll violence in the both upper and lower houses of Parliament.
