Bezos–Sanchez wedding set to dazzle Venice: Check who is invited, who isn’t
Venice (Italy): Billionaire Jeff Bezos and his fiancée, former journalist Lauren Sanchez, are tying the knot this weekend in Venice, Italy, in what promises to be one of the year’s most star-studded events, media reports said.
The wedding festivities, which kicked off on June 24, will unfold over several days and are expected to draw around 200 guests, including some of the biggest names in Hollywood, business, and politics.
Among those already spotted in the Floating City are Ivanka Trump and her husband, Jared Kushner, as well as fashion mogul Diane von Furstenberg and her husband, media executive Barry Diller.
Canadian lawyer Lydia Kives and investor Michael Kives were also seen arriving by boat, while Corey Gamble, partner of Kris Jenner, made a solo appearance.
An impressive lineup of celebrity guests is expected to attend, including Kim Kardashian, Oprah Winfrey, Beyonce and Jay-Z, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom, Barbra Streisand, and Leonardo DiCaprio, who is likely to be accompanied by his girlfriend, Italian model Vittoria Ceretti.
Other notable names include Queen Rania of Jordan, Bill Gates, Eva Longoria and Jose Baston, Karlie Kloss and Joshua Kushner, Gayle King, Mick Jagger, Natasha Poonawalla, Charissa Thompson, Brooks Nader, and Elsa Marie Collins.
Lauren Sanchez’s ex-partner and NFL Hall of Famer Tony Gonzalez, along with his wife October “Tobie” Gonzalez, are also expected to join the celebrations.
The gathering will also include Bezos and Sanchez’s families and their seven children from previous relationships. Sanchez has three children—Nikko Gonzalez, Evan Whitesell, and Ella Whitesell—while Bezos has four children.
However, the lavish celebrations have not been welcomed by all.
Some Venetians and local activists have criticised the wedding’s scale and fanfare, calling it disruptive and at odds with the city’s ongoing battle against overtourism.
